Why call it Corgi Tales (CorgiTales)? Well, first of all, Pembroke Corgis don’t usually have tails. It’s meant as a pun . . . but also tells a story.
Years ago, I was in a display/fixture store in Las Vegas. The store was heavily decorated in October for the holiday season. A very well-dressed woman walks into the store. She was elegant in her hat and beautiful knit red suit (could she be wearing a St. John?) . . . walking with her was a short beautiful dog. Beautiful face and amazing demeanor. I approached the woman and inquired about her well-behaved companion. Her eyes lit up and she was more than happy to elaborate about her Pembroke Corgi and how over the years she’d had many dogs, but her Corgi was by far the most intelligent and had the most amazing qualities.
A couple of years later a beautiful tri-color corgi puppy adopted us and stole our hearts. He was our ambassador to the Corgi-kind — and what an ambassador he is. I’ll share more about my noble corgi and the two more (which makes three) corgis that have since adopted us. So this is Corgi Tales from the past, present and new stories of our addition to our family and pack.
