An extra heaping spoon of kibble.

An extra game or two of ball.

Big giant kisses and mid-air hugs (even though he doesn’t care for being picked up).

Extra grooming time and unlimited tummy rubs.

Do you think he knows:

• It’s his birthday,
• he’s another year older,
• that I love him to pieces, and
• every time he looks in my eyes I feel blessed that he’s part of our lives?

Absolutely not. He’s unassuming and never presumptuous.
