Grooming.
- Dockers likes it, although he can be grumpy about it and sometimes makes me feel that I have a time limit on the process with him.
- Nikita would love to be groomed all day. No need to coax him. He’ll even flip over on his back before I ask him to, to make sure I don’t forget his underside. He loves it!
- Cody’s demeanor is between both Docker’s and Nikita’s. He’s tolerant, but not as cooperative as Nikita. He enjoys observing Doc and Niki’s grooming session better.
When I’m grooming Dockers and Nikita, Cody sits close and his face follows my hand that holds the brush. I would’ve thought he’d grown out of the behavior, but NOT.
Another very silly thing he does is as I continue to groom and clean out the brush as needed, I set the ball of hair just pulled from the brush off to the side. If I’m not attentive enough, Cody sneaks up to the ball of fur and steals it! Yuck! I have to pull it from his mouth and it’s a big mess. But it’s still endearing and I still have to laugh about it. I try to laugh quietly otherwise he thinks its acceptable due to my happy response. Puppiness.
