I can still feel him with me.
His presence is still felt. I long to hold him and that feeling when he would cling on to me. I used to love burying my face in his fur behind his neck.
I miss how when I laughed and he knew I was laughing at him, teasing him…he would playfully bark at me with that sparkle in his eyes, letting me know he was full well on to me.
He was a poser for my camera. A tireless perfectionist, scouter of the property and wise beyond his means. Larger than life and enjoyed everyday with a real carpe diem attitude. Yes, that was my Docker-D.
Ate his carrots and enjoyed yogurt…a true Corgi appetite. How I miss all the coaxing and begging I used to have to do in order for him to cooperate for bath time, even though he loved his baths. He had the thickest coat – what a shedder. Even after being drenched in water, he’d just shake it off and be dry in no time!
I miss my boy, my friend, my Dockers. Happy Birthday to my beautiful, loving Doc.
