Introducing a new member to our household/pack can be stressful and takes patience and some psychology in the matter. How do we break in a new member without too much interference but still protect the new member, continue to reassure the existing pack members that they are not being replaced and that you have more than enough love for them too? It’s much easier breaking in a pup than an older dog. Older members have more tolerance, patience and can display a nurturing and protective behaviours.
