Nikita’s Summer Outlines

I believe that dogs, like people, can be either photogenic – or not. As much as I love animals, and in this case I’m referring to corgis – not all corgis are photogenic. I’m not talking about the occasional bad picture of eyes closed, tongues wrapped around a corgi snout or red eyes. But here’s a good example of photogenic. Is the photographer bias? Maybe. Maybe not.

On this evening, I thought I was having a private moment in the backyard with my Corgi kids and shooting some images of them for the 52 Weeks of Corgis series. Unbeknownst to me, my neighbor (who lives high on a hill up above our backyard) was in his backyard and being a bit…intrusive by peering into my quiet time and conversation with my boys. As I snapped the picture of what I framed through the camera of Nikita looking at me with the gorgeous sun rays lightly outlining his ears…he instinctively looked up at the peeping neighbor.
