It's hard to find nice athletic shoes, these days, that have relatively no loud colors, designs or patterns. We like white athletic shoes with little glitz. Although we don't purposely scope out just buying Reebok's, just so happens that one of my favorite pairs were a pair of white/navy Reebok cross-trainers. About five months ago, I made the big mistake of leaving my shoes at the door. A couple of hours later I'm looking for those shoes — no where to be found. Hmm. Come to find out that the Codester gave them a try! Chewed 'em up! ARGGG! Needless to say, I was very upset. My only pair of Reeboks. Hubby did not feel my pain and passed it off as just another shoe casualty at the paws of Cody.
Well …. a couple of weeks ago Hubby left his shoes at the door. Doesn't take a Sherlock to figure out what happened to those shoes. Actually one shoe was MIA for a day before we found it. Yup. Cody gave those a try too. The coincidence is that his shoes were a pair of Reeboks. His only pair of Reeboks. He was not amused (but I had to giggle inside that now he felt my pain many months later).
The reality is that it was both of our own fault. True – Cody needs to learn not to be chewing certain things and we're working with him. However, it was pretty careless of us to leave it for him like candy in front of an 8 year-old.
