Our Dockers celebrates a birthday today. He's been in good spirits and the Codester keeps him on his toes these days by invoking play in the form of tag.
What can I say about our Alpha? Well…he can be territorial and does remind Nikita and Cody who is Alpha amongst them. At the same time he is kind and sharing. He's not territorial with his sleeping cushion or even his food some of the time.
His personality is one in which you never have to raise your voice at him or give him a tap to get his attention if and when (that's when, cause it rare) he's naughty. His knowing that you are not happy by using the mere word "Bad" is correction enough and he will do his darndest to make sure he is back in your good graces.
He's attentive and when we're out doing yard work or chores, he's always by our side. One whistle or a call of his name and he's there. No fuss no coaxing.
Since he's been with us at three months old, we've known him to be a good sleeper. It takes him a minute or two to really wake up. In the meantime, he's groggy and mimics an old man in slow motion (he was like that at three months and still the same!). But once he's awake, this Corgi is alert and ready to start the day. He's not a lazy personality. He really has a "Seize the Day" attitude.
Love our boy. Happy Birthday my Dockers – our ambassador to the Corgi-kind and a true noble of any breed.
