For Nikita

I’ve mentioned many times and as self evident as it is in dozens of images on Corgi Tales, Nikita has a sort of solemness in his demeanor. From the moment I first laid eyes on him, when he was only a few hours old and watching him grow up, he eludes this sort of “weight of the world” on his shoulders. A kind of “suffers in silence” – if you will. He watches and studies…doesn’t assume, demand or portray an attitude of entitlement.

I love to capture him with my camera. He has such a beauty both inside and out that shines through, especially when I’m reviewing a photo shoot of his images. In this portrait, I’m lying on the cement on my stomach capturing him through a patio chair.
