Dockers adopted us when he was three months old. When we brought him home, it was so amazing how quickly he adapted and learned. He is truly an exceptional canine – his disposition and intelligence. I had considered looking into agility training or something even further so he could continually be challenged. In one week, I taught him the following (he’ was only three months, mind you)
– Speak
– Down
– Sit
– Over
– Bang (like play dead)
– Please (like beg. I don’t like the idea of my dog begging so I called it “Please”)
– Friends (like shaking hands/paws)
– Shake (to shake his coat)
When friends and/or family would come over they would want to see our little guy. Dockers always pulled through all the training commands with flying colours. Never waivering that there could be at least 30 pairs of eyes on him. It never made him nervous (although I was). It was just so cute to see this little puppy (you know how cute a Corgi puppy is!) doing all these things.
How about Nikita and Cody? That’s for future posts!
