I was kicking myself that I forgot about the Perseid Meteor Showers that was at its peak last evening and was darned if I'd miss it again tonight (read more about it here ). I star-gazed this evening and experienced my first meteor shower show (isn't that sad to only just witness one now!). I didn't have to wait too long before streaks of light and magic sailed through the summer sky!
Everytime one magical trail of light zipped by I shrieked and pointed like a kid at Disneyland. Everytime I did, Niki jumped on me trying to make sense of my silly outbursts. Dockers stayed by my side and licked my leg in an attempt to comfort me. I think he was concerned I was losing it. Odd thing…Cody wasn't around? He's usually always by my side. I didn't think too much of his absence because it was past his bed time. Usually by 9:30 – he's pretty knocked out. As I tucked the older Corgi kids in and and started the goodnights — where's Cody?
Wouldn't you know it! Cody-con pushed his way into the house where he didn't have to hear me squeal. All comfy and cozy and dreaming about shooting stars.
Don't forget to make a wish on your shooting stars!
Good night.
