Dockers in Autumn Colors
On another note, this last weekend we were out of town. Hubby went days ahead of me and I met up with him. While I was concerned for various reasons to be away at length, one of those reasons included the Corgi kids. With the stress of our being away (even though we have a sitter check in on them) – Dockers and Nikita give us a 50/50 chance of brawling. I can’t tell you the measures and tip-toeing I did as to hide from them that I was leaving. My absence was less than 24 hours, but it didn’t matter. We came home to blood and then to figure how who had the injury. It was Dockers. Long story short and $1,000 vet bill later – he has a fractured jaw, on meds and there’s a wire in his jaw to hold it in place for the next six week. Never a dull moment, to be sure.
On our way home from the vet he whimpered and softly cried as I sat next to him bawling. I know I should’ve been stronger especially because Dockers is so in-tune with my emotions and body language. Initially, I was not a comfort. My boy was in pain – which meant I was too.
My boy – Dockers in Autumn Colors.
