I really love commercials like this. It’s sweet and it’s memorable. The directing and marketing do a good job at pulling at your heart strings and you don’t forget what the commercial is about. It’s like the Prized Possession commercial – memorable.
I guess this commercial has been out awhile, although I only just caught it on TV minutes ago.
SPDR State Street Global Advisors Precise in a world that isn’t
This piece was presented in black and white and has a classic feel about it due to the music and the emphasis on the dogs’ faces. It’s especially hit home, being that there’s one sweet dog that’s down-and-out and the Jack Russell is trying to cheer him up. Reminiscent to something we are working through here, while our Dockers is on the mend. Nikita and Cody are anxious for him to get better and curious about his state.
The music is by Rosi Golan and is called “Buried Treasure Theme”. As of this writing, you can download the theme song from the SPDR site here. Some folks on You Tube were sweet to translate the lyrics:
Une toc a ta porte… (A knock at your door)
Le bout d’un baiser (The end of a kiss)
puis ton coeur qui raisonne (then your heart that reasons)
c’est notre amour qui sonne (this is our love that rings)
c’est pas… (this is not)
c’est pas… (this is not)
l’univers disparaît (The universe disappears)
le printemps est né (Spring is born)
Toi e moi, c’est parfait (You and me, its perfect)
