“Wild Grass”
The wild grass all over our hills is not only unsightly, they are dangerous for Corgi dogs. Why? The burrs at the end of the stalks clasp on to their coats. It’s sometimes impossible to even brush it out, you have to use your fingers to pull it out of their coats as it burrows into the deeper layers of their fur. The most dangerous aspect of this treacherous weed is that it can get lodged in their upright, distinctive Corgi ears.
It’s a Saturday morning and Cody is peering through the tall wild grass at me. At any one more step by me or the faint call of his name, he’ll tear down the hill at full speed.
